Plant Biosecurity Scholarships

Scholarship Description

The Cooperative Research Centre for National Plant Biosecurity offers various scholarships to students wishing to undertake projects in Plant Biosecurity. Areas of interest include but are not limited to: Biology of Emergency Plant Pests, Diagnostics, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Predictive Simulation Models, Remote Sensing, Risk Analysis, Social Science and Taxonomy. Projects are available in all States and Territories of Australia. All of our students have at least one supervisor from a non-university research organisation and their projects may be based with that organisation or at their University (or both). Other benefits of being a student with our CRC include attendance at our annual Symposium, and an extensive professional development program, preparing you for the future. Full and Top-Up PhD scholarships are available to students holding a First Class or Upper 2A Hons degree (or equivalent), and who are Australian Citizens or permanent residents.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD32000 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses and travel. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: AGRICULTURAL, VETERINARY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES, BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES, EARTH SCIENCES, ECONOMICS or Information systems.

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, or Honours 2a or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or permanent residents can apply.
