ETS Summer Program in Research for Graduate Students

Scholarship Description

Students in this two-month program participate in research under the guidance of a senior ETS staff member in one of these areas: education, educational technology, learning sciences, linguistics, literacy, minority issues, new constructs, policy research, psychology, psychometrics, statistics, teaching, and testing issues (including alternate forms of assessment for special populations and new forms of assessment). Students also participate in seminars and workshops on a variety of topics. The goals of the program are to provide research opportunities to individuals enrolled in a doctoral program in the fields described above and to increase the number of women and underrepresented minority professionals conducting research in educational measurement and related fields. This scholarship is offered annually to 15 people. Open for applications until February 1, 2008.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is USD5000 (minimum per award). This award is to be used for living expenses and travel. This scholarship is paid as a one off.

Research Information

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: EDUCATION, Linguistics, Other behavioural and cognitive sciences, Other engineering and technology, Other information, computing and communication sciences, Other studies in human society, Policy and administration, Psychology or Statistics. It is required that your study starts no earlier than June 2, 2008 and no later than July 25, 2008.

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in U.S.A.. There are no restrictions on citizenship. permanent residents can apply.
