University Postgraduate Research Scholarships for PhD/ Master by Research
Scholarship Description
Charles Darwin University is seeking students committed to researching and finding solutions to real-world problems in these fields: Natural and cultural resource management; Human health and well-being; Teaching, learning and living; Community, development and identity. You can apply for a scholarship to undertake a PhD by Publication or Dissertation or a Masters by Research in these fields. The scholarships are also available for research professional doctorates (conditions apply). The scholarships offer a tax-free living allowance of $22,500 per annum(2010 rate). Additional benefits include paid annual leave, sick leave, parent leave entitlement, relocation and thesis allowance.

Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD22500 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 2 years if masters or 3 years if PhD.
Research Information
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: AGRICULTURAL, VETERINARY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES, BEHAVIOURAL AND COGNITIVE SCIENCES, CHEMICAL SCIENCES, EDUCATION, ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, HISTORY AND ARCHAEOLOGY, LANGUAGE AND CULTURE, LAW, JUSTICE AND LAW ENFORCEMENT, MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES, PHYSICAL SCIENCES, POLICY AND POLITICAL SCIENCE, SOCIAL SCIENCES, HUMANITIES AND ARTS - GENERAL, STUDIES IN HUMAN SOCIETY or THE ARTS. It is required that your study starts no later than March 31, 2012.
Eligibility
This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 2a or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or New Zealand or AUS permanent resident can apply.
