Special Overseas Student Scholarship (SOSS)
Scholarship Description
This scholarship may be awarded to an overseas applicant ranked sufficiently highly to be awarded a University of Ballarat Postgraduate Research Scholarship, awarded under the procedure outlined in the Scholarship Application Ranking Procedures, provided the School concerned has indicated prior to the evaluation meeting that the applicant is eligible for such an award. The maximum number available scholarships available in a year is one. This is an internal award of the University of Ballarat.

This scholarship is offered annually to an unspecified number of people. Open for applications from February 1, 2012 until October 31, 2012.
Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD20000 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for fees. This scholarship is paid as fees only for the period of 2 years if masters or 3 years if PhD.
Research Information
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: BEHAVIOURAL AND COGNITIVE SCIENCES, ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, Human movement and sports science, INFORMATION, COMPUTING AND COMMUNICATION SCIENCES, LANGUAGE AND CULTURE, MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES, PHILOSOPHY AND RELIGION, SCIENCE - GENERAL, SOCIAL SCIENCES, HUMANITIES AND ARTS - GENERAL or THE ARTS. It is required that your study starts no earlier than February 1, 2013.
Eligibility
This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, or Masters or equivalent. Only citizens of countries except Australia may apply.
