Scholarship Description

The UQ School of Pharmacy hosts and supports research higher degree students from diverse backgrounds including: Science (eg. biotechnology, pharmacology, biochemistry, chemistry), Engineering, Social Science and Mathematics. Scholarships are available for a wide variety of projects. Examples of the PhD projects available include: cell migration in angiogenesis and metastasis, medicinal organic chemistry, calcium signaling in cancer, new drug targets in cancer, professional pharmacy services and non-prescription medicines, novel treatments for neuropathic pain, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of sepsis, plants and medicines, pharmaceutical and biomedical analysis, retinal development and visual neuroscience. A more complete list of available PhD projects can be found on the School website. Applicants may list up to 3 potential available PhD projects and should submit their CV with their academic record. Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD19616 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES, SCIENCE - GENERAL or SOCIAL SCIENCES, HUMANITIES AND ARTS - GENERAL.

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, or Honours 2a or equivalent.
