Elizabeth & Vernon Puzey Postgraduate Research Scholarship
Scholarship Description
Applications are invited for the Elizabeth & Vernon Puzey Postgraduate Research Scholarships. Three scholarships are available, one each in the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Engineering & the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry & Health Sciences. A fourth scholarship is made available to foster inter-disciplinary research between departments or schools within or across these faculties. Applicants will be assessed based on their academic performance at undergraduate level, with a high standard expected. Awarding of the scholarship will be subject to an offer of a place in a relevant postgraduate research program & the availability of appropriate supervisors. The Elizabeth & Vernon Puzey Foundation is jointly managed by Equity Trustees & the University of Melbourne.

Availability
This scholarship is offered annually to 4 people. Open for applications until October 31, 2008.
Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD25000 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of up to 3 and a half years.
Research Information
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES, CHEMICAL SCIENCES, EARTH SCIENCES, ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, INFORMATION, COMPUTING AND COMMUNICATION SCIENCES, MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES, MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES, PHYSICAL SCIENCES or SCIENCE - GENERAL.
