The Science & Innovation Studentship Award
Scholarship Description
The Studentship promotes innovation in areas of key technologies by sponsoring tertiary science students & recent graduates to undertake research projects of interest to industry. Successful students work with a private organisation of their choice in collaboration with a Western Australian university on a specific project for 10 weeks (during university summer break). To be eligible, applicants must have completed 2 years, or more, full-time study in a science degree at a recognised Western Australian University (as listed), possess either Australian citizenship, a permanent Humanitarian Visa or be a permanent resident and have lived in Western Australia for the last 2 years. At present Studentship applications are called for from May/June every year and the closing date for Studentship application submission falls in September each year. Scholarships are for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Scholarship is closed. Next round will be advised in due course.

This scholarship is offered annually to 20 people. Open for applications until August 12, 2008.
Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD7000 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid as a one off.

This scholarship is for study in Australia. Only citizens of Australia or permanent residents can apply. You must have studied at or be currently studying at Curtin University of Technology, Edith Cowan University or Murdoch UniversityThe University of Western Australia.
