AGA/Goethe-Institut Fellowship
Scholarship Description
Summary: The Fellowship is made available jointly by the Australian German Association and the Goethe-Institut with the support of Lufthansa German Airlines, offering young Australians a 12-week stay in Germany. This comprises an 8-week language course at a Goethe-Institut in Germany, as well as a grant of AUD $6,000 towards a 4-week study tour of Germany, visiting companies/institutions working in the special interest field of the Awardee. The airfare to and from Germany is also included. Applicants must have excellent academic tertiary qualifications and the prospect of a promising career in business, law, science, political studies or the arts. They must also have a good knowledge of German and Australian citizenship, and be under the age of 35 on 1 July of the year the application is lodged. The value of this scholarship is AUD6000 (minimum per award). This award is to be used for accommodation and travel. This scholarship is paid as a one off.
