CRC for Sheep Industry Innovation Postgraduate Scholarships

Scholarship Description

A number of PhD and Masters degree projects are currently available at CRC network sites. Preference will be given to students enrolling in CRC partner institutions: University of New England, Murdoch University, University of Western Australia & University of Tasmania. Sheep CRC research covers basic and applied studies of the genetic and non-genetic factors affecting both wool and meat quality and quantity, as weel as integrated management systems, sheep reproduction & parasite control. Integrated research programs link studies of wool science, meat science, microbiology, biochemistry, physiology, growth & nutrition, molecular & quantitative genetics & marketing, adoption & electronic sheep management systems in a framework of sheep industry issues. Stipends are $30000pa (PhD) or $27000pa (Masters). Supplementary stipends also offered to students receiving other scholarships.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD27000 (minimum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 2 years if masters or 3 years if PhD.
