Bushfire CRC Research PhD Scholarship in fire and emergency service research
Scholarship Description
The research has a particular focus in examining the national issues arising out of the Black Saturday bushfires in Feb 2009 in VIC. Full details of the research program are on the Bushfire CRC website. The postgraduate program supports and extends the broader research activities and provides access to *Full scholarships of $28000 p.a. * Top up scholarships for APA and University Scholarships of $10000 p.a. *Access to industry expertise and support. While many projects have developed specific study areas for PhD study, we will consider well articulated student proposals that extend our reasearch in other ways. Scholarships are available to students in all disciplines enrolled or intending to enroll in PhD studies at an Australian or New Zealand University.

Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD28000 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES, EARTH SCIENCES, ECONOMICS, ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, INFORMATION, COMPUTING AND COMMUNICATION SCIENCES, MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES, SCIENCE - GENERAL or SOCIAL SCIENCES, HUMANITIES AND ARTS - GENERAL.
Eligibility
This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, or Honours 2a or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or New Zealand or AUS permanent resident can apply.
