Scholarship Description
Glendon A. Lean was a mathematics education scholar in the Faculty of Education, Deakin University from 1989 until his death in 1995. The Glendon A. Lean Memoral Award has been established through a bequest by his father Joseph A Lean and is being offered to doctoral candidates who wish to pursue research in mathematics education. The award is principally for full-time study. Successful applicants must have achieved a Masters in Education degree with a research pathway or equivalent. The Award is available to Australian citizens or permanent residents or New Zealand citizens. International students are eligible however international tuition fees will apply.

This scholarship is offered annually to one person. Open for applications from August 1, 2008.
Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD26140 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.
Research Information
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: EDUCATION. It is required that your study starts no earlier than September 1, 2008.
Eligibility
This scholarship is for study in any country for those who have achieved Honours 2a or equivalent, or Masters or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or New Zealand or permanent residents can apply.
