Australian Academy of Science Scientific Visits

Scholarship Description

The Australian Academy of Science invites Expressions of Interest from junior scientists who are no more than 30 years of age to visit the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States of America. Proposals in any health-related field of natural science will be considered. Applicants should be either: • in the first two years of a PhD degree or equivalent, or • have completed a Masters or a Bachelors with Honours degree, or • be in the final semester of a Masters or a Bachelors with Honours degree. The duration of the visit is expected to be between six and thirteen weeks. This scheme is funded by the Adam J. Berry Memorial Fund and is operated in collaboration with the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health. See the National Institutes of Health website for a list of institutes.
