Scholarship Description
The Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) is a major national funding body for research in Australian Indigenous studies. The Research Grants Program supports research into a wide range of research areas in Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Studies, such as history (including family & community history), politics, law, public policy, health (social, cultural & environmental aspects), biological sciences, education, linguistics, social anthropology, archaeology & the arts. Individuals & organisations may apply for research grants. All applicants are required to have an administering institution. Application forms and further details i are available via the scheme website. The AIATSIS grants program is currently being reviewed. Information on the new program will be published in late November 2011. Information on the application process, including timelines, will also be published at that time.
