Harold Wright and Sarah & William Holmes Scholarship


Scholarship Description

The purpose of the Harold Wright Scholarship and the Sarah & William Holmes Scholarships is to allow holders to carry out a study of prints at the British Museum. It is not intended that the Scholarships be limited to a specific project, specialised research or even a publication. It is envisaged that the holder will be able to work widely in one of the greatest collections of prints in the world. Scholarships cover board, lodging & other necessary living expenses in London for up to 12 months. Travel is NOT included. Both scholarships can also be awarded to the one person. Schols are available to under/graduates of Australian or New Zealand Universities, or other persons deemed to be of sufficient scholarly standard. It is expected that the successful candidate would have a background involving a serious study of prints & that study at the British Museum would be useful for career furtherance. The scholarship is closed. Next round will be advised in due course.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is GBP3200 (minimum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses and fees. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 1 year.

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Curatorial studies or THE ARTS.

This scholarship is for study in United Kingdom. Only citizens of Australia or New Zealand may apply.
