Professor Kernot Research Scholarships in Chemistry, Physics or Geology
Scholarship Description
William Charles Kernot M.A., M.C.E., first professor of Engineering at the University donated an amount in 1887 for the purpose of founding scholarships for the encouragement of the study of Physics and Chemistry. In 1908, William Charles Kernot donated a further amount for the encouragement of the study of Geology. There are three scholarships ��� one each in Chemistry, Physics and Earth Sciences. Tenable at the University of Melbourne, or other approved institution. Each of the scholarships are tenable for one year. Each of the scholarships are to be awarded by the Council on the recommendation of the heads of the schools of Physics, Chemistry and Earth Sciences respectively.
