Scholarship Description
The Faculty of Science and Engineering each year offers a small number of research awards to applicants for postgraduate research scholarships, who do not obtain an Australian Postgraduate Award or Flinders University Research Scholarship. This award will only be available to applicants who will commence or are continuing a Masters degree by research or Doctorate by research in the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

Availability
This scholarship is offered annually to 9 people. Open for applications from September 1, 2011 until October 28, 2011.
Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD22860 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses and fees. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 2 years if masters or 3 years if PhD.
Research Information
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES, CHEMICAL SCIENCES, EARTH SCIENCES, ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, INFORMATION, COMPUTING AND COMMUNICATION SCIENCES, MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES, PHYSICAL SCIENCES or SCIENCE - GENERAL. It is required that your study starts no earlier than January 1, 2012 and no later than March 31, 2012.
Eligibility
This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, or Honours 2a or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or New Zealand or AUS permanent resident can apply.
