Scholarship Description

The Faculty of Science and Engineering has available a number of postgraduate research scholarships for students who will commence in Semester 1 2008, a Masters degree by research or Doctorate by research in the Faculty of Science and Engineering. Successful applicants must be available to commence their postgraduate study by 31 March 2008.

Availability

This scholarship is offered annually to 9 people. Open for applications from September 1, 2008 until October 31, 2008.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD20007 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses and fees. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 2 years if masters or 3 years if PhD.

Research Information

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES, CHEMICAL SCIENCES, EARTH SCIENCES, ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, INFORMATION, COMPUTING AND COMMUNICATION SCIENCES, MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES, PHYSICAL SCIENCES or SCIENCE - GENERAL. It is required that your study starts no earlier than January 1, 2009 and no later than March 31, 2009.

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, or Honours 2a or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or New Zealand or permanent residents can apply.
