Sherman Eureka Prize for Environmental Research

Scholarship Description

The Sherman Eureka Prize for Environmental Research is sponsored by Brian Sherman, President of the Australian Museum Trust. The prize is awarded for research in any field of the biological, physical, mathematical or biomedical sciences leading to the resolution of an environmental problem or the improvement of our natural environment. The two essential criteria for the Sherman Eureka Prize for Environmental Research are scientific excellence and some manifest benefit to the natural world. Entries should specifically address these two criteria in their applications. Entrants should note that, in judging entries, particular attention will be given to the treatment of animals during the research process. This scholarship has closed for 2008. Details for 2009 will be updated later in the year.
