Computational Immunology

Scholarship Description

We seek a highly motivated student, with a strong quantitative science background, to work on a PhD research project in the area of computational immunology. We use innovative bioinformatics/computational approaches to investigate the production of the T cell repertoire and its role in immune responses. This research has potential implications for the design of treatments for, and vaccines against, various infectious diseases. Computer programming skills are essential and a background in bioinformatics would be advantageous. NOTE: Applicants who are not Australian citizens or Australian permanent residents must apply through the University of New South Wales International Scholarship program (http://www.international.unsw.edu.au/future/futurescholarships.html)
