Quick Search

Name or Reference No: Use this field if you already know the name or the reference number of the scholarship you are interested in viewing. Students who have received notification of a scholarship via the Student Profile service will find both the name and reference number of the award in the e-mail.

Research Area: Use this field to select the area of postgraduate study you are interested in pursuing. You may only make one selection at a time in the Quick Search, so use the Advanced Search if you would like to make more than one selection in this category for any one search.

Destination Institution: This field allows you to specify the institution at which you would like to study. If you do not have a particular preference, then leave the default selection 'Any' in place.

Eligible Institution: This field allows you to specify the institution at which you are presently studying and/or from which you have already received a qualification. If you have received your previous qualification from a university outside Australia, please leave this field at the default setting of 'Any'.

Scholarship Type: This field allows you to specify the type of funding you are most interested in. Your selection should represent the MAIN PURPOSE or reason that you are seeking funding. For instance, you should select Travel if your main purpose is to gain experience away from your enrolling institution. Although some awards may pay a living allowance whilst you are away, Travel remains the main purpose. Conversely if you would like a scholarship to gain a whole qualification from an overseas university, you should enquire about Living Allowance and Fees scholarships, even though some may contain a 'travel' component intended to assist you with your relocation expenses etc.

Limit to New Scholarships: If you are a regular user of JASON, this field allows you to exclude from your search scholarships that were already on the database at the time of your last search. For instance, if you performed a thorough search 30 days ago, you can elect to include in your search results only those scholarships added to the database in the last month. This function, as well as the JASON Student Profile service, is intended to minimise duplication of effort for the searcher.

Exact Match: Use this field if you would like the search results to include only those scholarships that exactly match your search criteria. Please note that if you select, for example, the research area 'Psychology' and then select 'exact match', the results will contain only those scholarships specifically intended for studies in Psychology and will exclude any general scholarships in which the study area is not specified.

Only include if open for applications: Use this field if you would like to exclude from your search results those scholarships which you would be unable to apply for in the current academic year because the closing date for applications has passed.
