Scholarship Description

The Dorcas McClean Travelling Scholarship for violinists, established by The University of Melbourne in honour of one of Australia’s most gifted musicians, is offered nationally and awarded biennially. Three Scholarships of $30,000, $20,000 and $10,000 will be awarded. Stages two and three of the 2009 competition will take place at Melba Hall on Friday 4th and Sunday 6th September and will be open to the public. The Scholarship will be judged by a panel of distinguished string players.

Availability

The value of this scholarship is AUD30000 (total amount). This award is to be used for travel. This scholarship is paid semesterly for the period of 1 year.

This scholarship is for study in any country. You must be below the age of 25. There are no restrictions on citizenship. You must have studied at or be currently studying at The University of Melbourne.
